Support Our Neighbors!

Our goal at Shoshone Project is to nurture connections and support between the communities of Blaine and Lincoln counties. We’ve met many of these folks and we are sure you have, too. They are smart, hardworking individuals that help power many of our local businesses.

Why Support Lincoln County?

About forty percent of the work force of Blaine County lives in the small towns and rural communities of Lincoln County.

These folks work in a wide range of jobs including bank tellers, staff at the local pharmacy, servers in our local restaurants, electricians, and mammography technicians at our hospital.

These rural communities are under resourced and deserve our support!

Holiday Clothing and Food Drive!

This winter will be the FIFTH year of our Annual Warm Clothing and Food Drive, scheduled for December 15th at the Lincoln County Community Center in Shoshone.

We continue to grow the number of families that we serve each year and our goal this winter is to support 150 families, about 600 people! This includes mountains of warm clothing, groceries, home baked cookies, and a grocery gift card – and each child will receive a wrapped present and a visit with Santa!

Make the holidays brighter for these families! A gift of $150 will purchase two overflowing bags of groceries and a gift card for a family of four. Any amount will make a difference!

Our Clothing and Food Drive page has the details. To donate or volunteer, click here. Thank you all for your wonderful support!

Making Connections and Galvanizing Resources!

Shoshone Project has worked for the last five years to support nearby Lincoln County and is continually working to develop a deeper understanding of the needs of these communities.

After achieving non-profit status and hosting a stakeholder Roundtable in Shoshone in the spring of 2024, we have expanded our mission to increase resources and financial support for existing Lincoln County non-profits/institutions. We are doing this through grants directed to reduce food insecurity and provide support for education and the youth of these communities.

$35K in Grants Provided in 2023/2024

The Lincoln County Youth Center in Richfield received a significant grant for their afterschool youth programs.

Hope for the Hungry Community Food Pantry in Shoshone received funding for an industrial walk-in freezer and a new electrical panel.

Others: Shoshone Public Library, Lincoln County Recreation Center, Shoshone School District’s free lunch program, Shoshone School District, Lincoln County Pool, First Responders of Lincoln County.
